How You Can Help

 - Tell your neighbors about the prevalence of Lyme disease in Iowa and ask them if they check themselves daily for ticks

- Contact the Lyme Disease Association or IA Lyme Disease Network and ask for literature or brochures you can put out on display or share with local organizations.

- Contact us to arrange for a Lyme Disease education talk in your school, organization, or local health fair

- Ask your physician how you can prevent Lyme and other tick-borne diseases

- Advocate for passage of federal and state laws mandating tick-borne disease research

- Volunteer to provide support or visits to someone disabled by Lyme disease

- Ask your local library to purchase books that provide information about Lyme disease prevention and treatment

- Organize a fundraiser that will help promote Lyme disease education and support
